Meet the Team
Marisa has always felt a quiet pull toward the healing arts. Rooted in a holistic way of living, her path unfolded through years of spiritual study, self-inquiry, and a deep respect for the body’s innate ability to heal. Before becoming an acupuncturist, Marisa spent many years caring for children—as a nanny and as a teaching assistant in a preschool for children with special needs. These experiences shaped the foundation of her work, cultivating patience, presence, and an intuitive sensitivity to the emotional and physical needs of others.
Marisa is also a devoted mother of two, who were both birthed at home. Motherhood has deepened her reverence for the strength and wisdom of the body, the tenderness of the postpartum season, and the quiet, transformative nature of caring for a growing family. She earned her Master of Science in Oriental Medicine (MSOM) from the New York College of Health Professions, completing extensive academic and clinical training in acupuncture and integrative therapies.
Marisa is also a trained Birth Doula through the Long Island Doula Association.
